A Woman's Metamorphosis - #acrosticpoem #acrostic #poem #poetry #poetrycommunit @YvetteMCalleiro

Hello, beautiful readers! For this week's Wea've Written Weekly, Carol Anne invites us two write an acrostic poem using the word transformation. The poem should focus on the idea of transformation, whether personal, spiritual, political, emotional, or spiritual.

A Woman's Metamorphosis

Trepidation kept her quiet
Regarded others with caution
Allowed few to enter her safe circle
Negative self-talk hindered her
Suffocated her desire to belong
Feelings of unworthiness reigned
Oppressed by falsehoods
Reality found a crack in her armor
Meticulously sprinkled in positive affirmations
Attention shifted to light and love
Threads of repression unraveled
Inspiration blossomed
Obliterated the mental chains holding her hostage
No longer afraid to speak her truth

  1. Women (all humans) need to be postive in a good way. There are some men who are pushed and bullied - and then become bullies themselves. I can see that in some manipulative women too. Kindness is always a better option. Kindness helps to grow better people.
