Hello, beautiful readers! For this week's Moonwashed Weekly Prompt, Eugi provides us with the image above and the poem below. We are to create a poem by drawing inspiration from the picture and/or words. Here is her poem:
grand is nature's beauty
gentle dew refreshing
neath a bejeweled sky
I decided to write an American cinquain. This form consists of five lines with a syllabic pattern of 2-4-6-8-2. My borrowed words are bolded and italicized.
I love that last line, "leave pure."
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jan! I appreciate you sharing. :-)
DeleteI like your entry! from fellow blogger - ladysighs. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lady! I appreciate you visiting! :-)
DeleteMy children and I comment about the amount of trash we see littering the roads and highways, and everywhere else we see it. My oldest says people must not care that we only have one earth.🥺
ReplyDeleteI agree with her sentiments. It isn't hard to hold onto your trash until you find a trash receptacle. It's very sad. Thanks for sharing, Melissa! :-)
DeleteBeautiful cinquain with a wise message. Your last line speaks volumes. - Eugi
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eugi! I appreciate your visit. :-)
DeleteIf only... though the State Parks are getting a bit of a reprieve. Even when those parks have full staff they should limit visitors.
ReplyDeleteI like how some parks restrict where humans go wander. Thanks for stopping by, Jules! :-)
DeleteWell-done, Yvette! Enjoyed it very much.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susi! I appreciate your visit. :-)
