Hello, beautiful readers! For this week's #TankaTuesday, Melissa Lemay encourages us to try our hand at writing a mondo poem. This form consists of two stanzas with a 5-7-7 syllabic pattern. The first stanza poses the question while the second stanza provides the response.
She also provided us with three different options to choose as our first stanza in case we wanted to write a more collaborative poem. I chose to go with one of her first stanzas. Here are the options she provided. My poem is below.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI am smiling because I can very much imagined Koi fish dreaming of delicious morsels of fish raining down from the sky. They're relaxing with well-fed bellies.
Great job. I like your poetry. You might want to consider writing a book of poetry.
Shalom shalom

DeleteThis reminds me of a local resturant that has a koy pond - and a bridge over it to get into the resturant. They give out little cups of fishy food for you to feed the koi... and they have some very big koi in that pond - I think they heat it so the fish are there in all seasons! And the big ones push the smaller ones aside... raining food indeed!
ReplyDeleteYes, they are quite spoiled. Lol! Thanks for sharing, Jules! :-)
DeleteLovely answer Yvette, I think we all think koi dream of food in some way 💞
