Hello, beautiful readers! Thank you for all the prayers and healing energy for my mom. She is not out of the woods yet, but she is on the mend. It is freezing cold in Miami. It was in the 30s for the past two nights. Yesterday was the worst of it. I woke up to ice on my windshield. In Miami! This is crazy! Today's temps are going from the 30s to the 60s in one day. Normally, the 60s are cold to me, but I am looking forward to it. Perspective. Lol!
I am hosting again at #TankaTuesday, and this week I proposed that we write a poem focused on cleansing. Usually, I start every new year by saging my home. The intent was there, but for one reason or another, I didn't get around to it until this past weekend. Maybe the universe knew I still had a few things to deal with in January before ridding my home of all that negative energy.

wisps of burning sage
all dark energy removed
purification
fresh, new beginnings welcomed
peace and harmony commence

ReplyDeleteThank you, Ron! I appreciate your visit. :-)
DeleteIce in Miami! That is crazy, Yvette. Here in Oregon, 60 degrees is T-shirt weather. Lol. A beautiful poem and an inspiring idea. I have some sage around here somewhere and a cleansing is long overdue. <3 <3 Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to un-anonymous myself. - Hugs, Diana
DeleteThank you, Diana! Mother Nature spun around too many times and got disoriented in where to dump the freezing weather. Lol! Thanks for stopping by! :-)
DeleteBeautifully penned Yvette sage is a fabulous cleanser 💞
ReplyDeleteYes, it is! Thanks for visiting, Ange! :-)
DeleteHope you have cleared all that negative energy away. Enjoyed your prompt......https://rallentanda.blogspot.com/2026/02/10cc-im-not-in-love.html... I am having computer problems and cannot submit my poem on Mr Linky. Could you put it on for me? Thanks Yvette
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Rall! I just added it. Thank you for participating and for visiting me here. :-)
Delete'Peace and Harmony' yes please. Thank you for the lovely prompt. I have some sage growing in my garden ...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Marion! How wonderful to be able to grow sage in your own garden. I appreciate your visit! :-)
DeleteI bet a sage home smells delightful! I hope your mother is well on the mend, Yvette. Your poem is lovely; your weather sounds frightful. We will be in Miami in less than two weeks to depart on a cruise. I hope the weather sorts itself out before then! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I hope our weather is back in the high 70s by then. I can't handle any more cold. Lol! Thanks for visiting! Enjoy your cruise! :-)
DeleteSo glad your mom is improving, Yvette. It's crazy your are colder than we are right now. Its been such a warm winter so far. Great poem and reminder to Sage out that negative energy! Xo
ReplyDeleteThank you, Denise! The weather has forgotten its GPS apparently. Thanks for stopping by! :-)
DeleteMother Nature is so unpredictable!
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear that dark energy can be removed like that. Great idea!
Thank you, Balroop! Sage is great! I'm happy to share it with you. I appreciate you visiting. :-)
DeleteBeautiful and uplifting poem, and I'm glad your mom is improving, Yvette! Crazy weather is so unpredictable.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is, Eugi! Thanks for stopping by! :-)
DeleteIce in Miami? 😳 Goodness, that is cold for you guys. I know my daughter is freezing, too. I hope your mom is on the mend. The crazy weather doesn't help. I LOVED your poem. It's right up my alley. 💖
ReplyDeleteThank you, Colleen! I know you enjoy a good saging. ;-) I appreciate your visit. :-)
DeleteLovely, Yvette. We are thinking similarly. ❤️
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike! Thanks for visiting, Gwen! :-)
DeleteInteresting. I remove dark energy from my home by not believing in it. With the smell of Thai food throughout, how could it even exist? Maybe in the bathroom if there was too much chilli! Haha!
ReplyDeleteLol! Thanks for the laugh, Shaun! I appreciate your visit. :-)
DeleteYvette, I love your Tanka. You captured the connection of sage and how it brings about peace and harmony. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I appreciate your visit. :-)
DeleteI forgot to change it from "anonymous". It is O'Nika. (Yvette, I love your Tanka. You captured the connection of sage and how it brings about peace and harmony. Well done!)
ReplyDeleteThank you, O'Nika! XOXO
DeleteIm sure I left a comment here earlier (from phone it shows as anon but I sign it as Selma)... Anyway, sending a bunch of blessings. I enjoyed your poem. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Selma! I appreciate your visit. :-)
DeleteWhat a calming sentiment. This was a wonderful prompt, Yvette.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Violet! I am so happy you enjoyed it. :-)
DeleteI'm not big on insense or even candles. I've read somewhere that putting a bundle of bayleaves by your doors can help keep negativity out.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to your Mom. Recovery may be slow, but I'm glad it is in sight.
We had relative in the Keys last week... not funt that it wasn't warm! ;)
I do not use incense or candles, either, Jules. Sage is a natural plant. I'm sorry your relative couldn't enjoy the Keys. Cold weather is not welcome this far south. Lol! Thanks for visiting today! :-)
DeleteI do a weekly incense cleanse of my office and altar. It really seems to help my energy. I can get over ice in Miami. That is insane. I hope you're back to normal by now. 💟
ReplyDeleteIt's still in the 50s in the morning but jumps to the low 70s by the afternoon. That is a bit more tolerable for me. I hope we never experience that again. Lol! Thanks for stopping by, Colleen! :-)
DeleteI love the energy of new beginnings welcomed, yes!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Paul! I appreciate your visit. :-)
DeleteThis is so beautiful, Yvette. We burn incense and camphor, too, to drive out negative energy
ReplyDeleteThank you, Smitha! I appreciate you visiting. :-)
