Hello, beautiful readers! As we end the new year, I want to wish you all a happy new year. This week's #TankaTuesday Poetry Challenge focuses on writing a poem about new year's resolutions. I don't really make resolutions. I prefer to create intentions - goals I strive toward. Resolutions are just too rigid, and the pressure to break them doesn't help my anxiety. Intentions allow for progress over perfection, which is more my style. For this week's challenge, I chose to write a choka with a syllabication pattern of 5-7-7-5-7-5-7-7-7.
