Hello, beautiful readers! For those of you who don't know, my newest release is having a book blog tour. It started last week and will continue next week. If you'd like to check out my newest book, click here.
After returning from the beach today, I took some time to write a poem for Sadje's What Do You See? prompt. I'm quite happy that I don't experience the weather in the photo. I'm not built for cold. Lol! If you've seen my #TankaTuesday post for this week, you know that I am not a fan of gift giving, but this photo just took me in that direction. I decided to write a tanka for this photo.

stressful holidays
halls decked with winter magic
hustle and bustle
rush to buy last minute gifts
joy on children's face...worth it!

A beautiful Tanka Yvette. I think children are really the ones who enjoy getting gifts the most. Their unbridled joy is wonderful to experience and see. Thanks for joining in my dear friend.

I agree, Sadje! I loved watching my son open up his gifts when he was little. Thanks for stopping by. :-)
DeleteI get stressed out at this time of year too, Yvette. But once the work is done, you're right--it's worth it. Your poem is delightful. Enjoy the mild Florida weather and Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diana! I appreciate your visit. :-)
